Speed : distance travelled
_____________
time taken
The other formula and equations:
distance travelled = speed x time taken 'or' time taken = distance travelled
_____________
speed

Distance- time graphs
A distance - time graph is a good way of showing how something moves.
- Gradient or slopes give speed.
- Straight line mean constant speed.
- A steep line means a lot of distance is being covered in a short time.
- A gradual line means a short distance is being covered in a long period.

Acceleration
Acceleration is the rate at which an object changes it's velocity.
Acceleration: change in velocity
_______________
change in time
units of acceleration: ( m/s2)

Velocity-time graph
- Gradient or slopes tell us the object acceleration / deceleration.
- Slope of velocity-time graph shows how quickly a velocity of object is changing.
- Straight lines mean constant acceleration.
- Area under the graph gives distance travelled.
